Dale Earnhardt Jr. ARC 1/64th Scale Kids 2009 Special Paint Scheme Impala SS. On May 9, 2009, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will run a special Mt. Dew paint scheme as the track Too Tough to Tame, Darlington Raceway, celebrates its 60th anniversary. Darlington, the sports original superspeedway, is steeped in history as a pillar of NASCAR. The track has long been a driver favorite and has seen some of the closest finishes, and most competitive racing, in the sport. Dale Jr., whose family legacy has as much historical influence on NASCAR as the speedway itself, will take to the track in the Southern 500 in one of only four special paint schemes to be run throughout the year. This electrifying car is emblazoned with the new Mountain Dew logo and carries the Do the Dew slogan on the rear of the car.
